The hubs and I are fast approaching our first eviction from our rental. Not so much fun in so many ways. We are hoping our tenants are cooperative and just move out. I hope they are young and dumb enough not to take advantage the system by stretching the eviction to the limit.
[Post Script-- The tenats cooperated and we got them to move out with out having to arrange the Ada County Sheriff to do the good deed for us, Yeah!!]
The first month (April) we were nice about not receiving their rent. Our young tenant played stupid when we told him we hadn’t received rent. He said he sent it in the mail. His story hasn’t exactly been consistent and with him not paying May’s rent make me suspicious of his integrity. It is too bad that people expect others to clean up their mess and pay their bills.
So we are trying to put on our strict landlord hats and are going to evict. We can’t afford to subsidize people to live in our house. We are a one-income family that is smart with money, but not made of money.

Good luck on finding good renters. I will pray for you. I know what that pressure feels like...not fun.
