Another eventful day! In the past 24 hours between the hubs and I we made 8 trips to our rental home. We attempted showings, got the cleaners in, and another trip to pay the cleaners. It was a busy day! I have had two no-shows which was annoying. But on the upside, I think we may have a potential tenant. We’re crossing our fingers. I need to check references and we need to pray about it before we make a decision. This particular candidate wants to rent long term, and I am all for that! I hope it works out, because I am tired of making trips back and forth, although we are blessed it is less than two miles from our home!
We had the missionaries over for dinner, the weather was perfect today so we had a barbeque. I thoroughly enjoyed being outside! And the burgers were yummy too!
This morning I got my rear kicked at the gym. The hubs and I are a part of a biggest loser challenge and today the trainer really worked us over. We had ten stations set up, and between stations we did squat pops, again, again and again. Squat pops (I am not sure that is what they are really called) are a lovely mix between a jumping jack and a squat. I am already feeling to soreness start to kick in. I can only imagine it is only going to be worst tomorrow. Even though he kicked my trash, It is a great way to start the day and I will be sad when our challenge is over.
There are two trainers working with our group and there is this guy who frequents the gym on Saturday mornings. I don’t know why, but this other guy feels like he needs to be my third trainer. It started last week. He was giving me tips and telling showing me how to do my station. The funny thing is, he does it through charades. He has his earphones blasting so he acts out and shakes his head and models what he thinks I should be doing. Does he not realize I have paid the trainers to guide me? After I change my exercise to his way he flashes a side wink and gives me a thumb up. I have been going to my gym for 5+ years and I haven’t seen this guy until recently, it is a little annoying how he steps into the middle of our circuit training to give his two cents. I just giggle (or more like jiggle) and bear it.
Lil’Bean has had a big week too. He has his first teeth. On Tuesday he cut his first tooth and today the second tooth surfaced. I think his teeth surfacing has brought a little relief, thank goodness. He is growing so fast!
I have several things I have wanted to post about, but I have been focusing on all the other things life has handed us. In the mean time the weather has been wonderful, so that is where I have been, out in the yard catching up on the past two years. Our yard is coming together, each day I choose a flower bed, bush or tree to manicure. The only way I will get our yard caught up is a little at a time. Baby steps. Once the hot summer kicks in I probably won’t make it out much more, so I need to get as much as I can get done now.
Happy Life!
