I have a hard time remember a lot of my childhood. I don’t know why, but it is often foggy. Every once and a while I will have a flash from the past. I experienced one today as I was on a walk with the little ones. As I passed by a home with bleeding hearts I was brought back to my childhood home. We had a flowerbed with bleeding hearts, daffodils and a large evergreen tree by the door way. On the South East corner of our front yard we had a large crabapple tree. I remember the pink blossoms and sweet smell of spring.
Having the flash back, floods my mind with other memories of my childhood. It is comforting to know that deep within my mind I remember more of being a kid. I am working on re-doing my front flowerbeds and I think a bleeding heart is in order. Now I need to find out where I can buy this peculiar plant so I can flash down memory lane more often.
Happy reflections.
