The Job Hunt Continues

We have been so blessed!  Last June the hubs lost his job.  We spent almost six months searching, applying and interviewing for jobs.  At the end of November my husband got a temp job working for St. Lukes in their accounting department.  We feel so grateful we have been able to have this job to hold us over and pull us out of the unemployment ditch for a little while.  He has been able to gain some new skills and learn some new accounting software, we hope this will aid us in the future! See this post for more details.

With his job being temporary coming to an end in mid-march (two weeks sooner than we were originally anticipated) we are fervently searching again for a job.  It has been really nice to be able to have a break from the searching.  It came just in time for our move and the holidays.  But it is time to get back to the grindstone!!  Ugggh!

We are grateful we have been able to scale back our lives enough that our monthly bills are minimal and we can live on very little. We are also grateful to be able to live in my grandparent’s home to hold us over for a little bit.  I will go back to subbing when we move back to Boise if we haven’t gotten a new job.  But our hopes and prayers are that the hubs will find employment soon following his jobs end.

Tomorrow the hubs has a job interview, our first interview in this round two of the job hunt.  We don’t have a lot of details about the job other than it is with a public accounting firm and they are looking for someone who has the experience that he has.  It might be a great fit and exactly what we hoped to find (at least I am crossing my fingers)!

So I am asking you my family and friends to say a little prayer for our family that we might be so blessed again to find employment so we can step forward with our little life and financial goals (see a more detailed post here!).  I have felt love and support as I have pondered this challenge in our life.  Thank you for praying and sending positive thoughts our way.  May your lives be blessed as well!

Happy Hoping for a Brighter Future!!!

Two of the Resources we are using in our job hunt and are aiding us in our financial goals!
